Romford daylight stabbing near shopping centre sees man rushed to hospital as attacker on the run

Police have launched an investigation after a man was stabbed in broad daylight in a fight in East London. Police were called to Waterloo Road, in Romford, to reports of the brawl.

The incident took place at around 2.38pm on Thursday (March 14) near the Brewery Shopping Centre. When Met Police officers arrived they found a man with a stab wound on his leg. He was treated by paramedics and rushed to hospital.

His injuries have been deemed non life-threatening. Police believe that the men are known to each other.

No arrests have been made and the police have launched an investigation. A spokesperson for the Met Police said: “On Thursday, March 14, police were called to Waterloo Road, Romford at 2.38pm to reports of men fighting.

“At the scene, one man had suffered a stab wound to his leg. He was treated by the London Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital where his injuries were not life threatening.

“The men are known to each other. No arrests have been made and the investigation is on-going.
