Four people were injured in a serious accident yesterday evening (24 March) which meant a road in Walthamstow had to be closed through the night. Two cars collided with each other on Hoe Street, Walthamstow between Orford Road and Boundary Road.
The Met Police were called to the incident at 7.13pm and responded with other emergency services. Four people were treated for their injuries and the police are awaiting an update on their condition.
Investigation work continues this morning and the road closure remains in place in both directions. Nine bus services have also been diverted in the area.
Traffic analyst service Inrix reports that the road closure has been shortened from its initial length. Google Maps shows the closure on Hoe Street starts at the junction with Pendlestone Road and ends at the Granville Road turnoff backing up this report.
