Arsenal have the third-biggest wage bill in the Premier League and spend more than any other London club on players.
The Gunners are battling at the top of the Premier League again this season and currently lead the way ahead of Manchester City, who do have a game in hand over Mikel Arteta’s side. According to Capology, Arsenal spend ÂŁ3,298,000 per week on players this season.
The most money is believed to be spent on Kai Havertz, who currently rakes in ÂŁ280,000 per week at the Emirates Stadium. Currently, this appears to be money well spent, as the German has hit form at a crucial point in the season.
Havertz has 12 goals to his name in the Premier League this campaign, eight of which have been scored since February. Other big earners at the club include Gabriel Jesus, Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard and Thomas Partey, who all earn ÂŁ200,000+ per week.
Arsenal’s wage bill is only ÂŁ320,000 per week, more than fourth-placed Chelsea, who are spending ÂŁ2,978,000 weekly on their players. Their top earner is Raheem Sterling, earning an eye-watering ÂŁ325,000 per week.
This figure is much more than second-highest earner Reece James, who is on ÂŁ250,000 per week, while Wesley Fofana and Ben Chilwell sit at ÂŁ200,000. Staggeringly, the Blues’ best player this season, Cole Palmer, is believed to be earning ‘just’ ÂŁ75,000 per week.
