Former Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi was involved in part of a mass brawl following a violent fan invasion after Fenerbahce’s 3-2 win over Trabzonspor at Papara Park on Sunday night. Ex-QPR man Bright Osayi-Samuel punched a supporter on the field as well whilst Batshuayi tried to kick another.

The Belgian’s team had just celebrated their away victory with a late goal scored by himself when a lone Trabzonspor supporter entered the field to taunt them. Security tackled the masked supporter, but that didn’t stop a scuffle with Osayi-Samuel.

The former-Championship player chased the invader, landed a punch, and climbed on top of him as he was being apprehended. He had managed to break free from his teammates.

As stewards chased the first invader, more fans flooded onto the field, leading to moments of conflict across the ground. Amidst the chaos, a staff member signalled for Batshuayi to leave the pitch.

However, as he did so, the striker tried to intercept a fan heading towards the dugouts. The 30-year-old only managed a glancing blow before security stopped the invader, reports the Mirror.

Osayi-Samuel, 26, moved to Fenerbahce from QPR in 2021 after kicking off his career with Blackpool. The Nigerian star has played 126 matches for the Turkish team.

Batshuayi joined the club a year later and has been a goal machine for the Super Lig giants. The striker has netted 20 goals in 39 Super Lig games and boasts a record of 40 goals in 67 matches overall.

The Belgian ace left a sharp message on X following the clash. Batshuayi didn’t leave any comment but simply posted a string of angry emojis on the social media platform.

Fenerbahce’s win keeps them in second place, a whopping 30 points ahead of third-placed Trabzonspor and just two points behind league leaders Galatasaray. Other notable faces Edin Dzeko, previously at Manchester City, and Fred, formerly at Manchester United, were also involved in the game.

Ex-Southampton and Ajax man Dusan Tadic was also playing, as was Arsenal’s second most expensive signing ever, Nicolas Pepe. Fred score twice for Fenerbache before Batshuayi’s late winner.
