Tottenham are looking capitalise on their statement win at Aston Villa by following it up in a tough fixture at Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Spurs have only lost twice away from home this season in the Premier League but fell to a penalty shoot-out defeat at Craven Cottage earlier in the season in the Carabao Cup. Ange Postecoglou’s side took their top four destiny back into their own hands with their resounding 4-0 victory at Villa Park last weekend and if they can win again at Fulham then they would climb into fourth place before Villa face West Ham at the London Stadium on Sunday.

Postecoglou has one new injury absentee with Micky van de Ven out with his hamstring injury and the Australian had already stated that Radu Dragusin would make his first start for Tottenham and that is the case. Elsewhere the team remains the same. Timo Werner has been pushing for a start after back-to-back goals in the past two matches but Brennan Johnson has been even more impressive in those same games so keeps his spot and Dejan Kulusevski was involved in three of Tottenham’s four goals at Villa.

Rodrigo Bentancur remains on the bench due to the form of Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma while Richarlison is back and available for selection after returning to training this week.

Here’s the Tottenham team that Postecoglou has selected:

Vicario; Porro, Romero, Dragusin, Udogie; Sarr, Bissouma, Maddison; Kulusevski, Son, Johnson. Subs: Austin, Emerson, Davies, Skipp, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Lo Celso, Werner, Richarlison.
