Arsenal proved that they are capable of fighting for the Premier League title in their draw with Manchester City. It was a tense battle at the Etihad and the Gunners slipped out of first place but remained undefeated against their title rivals.

Mikel Arteta’s side have a two-point gap to make up after Liverpool won against Brighton on Sunday. A victory over Man City may have given Arsenal the confidence to breeze through the run-in but the team still have a strong chance of lifting the Premier League trophy for the first time in 20 years, having won eight of their last nine league games.

The Gunners will hope to maintain their momentum at home to Luton Town on Wednesday in the reverse of a game that required an added time winner from Declan Rice at Kenilworth Road. Arsenal then travel to Brighton at the weekend, days before the start of their Champions League quarter-final tie with Bayern Munich.

The task of competing in two competitions could have a bearing on Arsenal’s league performance but they will have to be at their best when they host Aston Villa shortly before the return leg against Bayern. It is set to be a challenging April for Mikel Arteta’s side, who also travel to Wolves and face a midweek clash at home to Chelsea.

The month will end with a north London derby, where Tottenham Hotspur will aim to dent their rivals’ title hopes. Following the nerves of facing their local rivals, Arsenal begin May with a home game against Bournemouth as they head towards the final two hurdles.

The Gunners will hope to be in a commanding position when they face off against their old nemesis Manchester United at Old Trafford. On the final day, Arsenal will host Everton in a potentially decisive game, ending a title race that looks set to go down to the wire.
